If you get an emergency alert on Wednesday, it might be just a test. The Saline County Office of Emergency Management will conduct a countywide test of our Emergency Alert System on August 16, 2023 at 12:30 p.m.
The Saline County Alert System is powered by Everbridge and uses a combination of automated phone calls, text messages, and emails to share time-sensitive information with residents. Saline County residents can sign up to receive these alerts via salinecounty.org/everbridge. Residents can customize the alerts they would like to receive and how they will be delivered.
“The Saline County Office of Emergency Management provides Everbridge as an enhanced means of notification to the citizens of Saline County in the event of a weather related emergency,” stated Jerry Cohen, Director of Saline County Office of Emergency Management. “The monthly tests ensure that you are receiving the lifesaving notification and weather information.”
Future tests will be conducted only once a month on the 3rd Wednesday between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
