Charlotte Scott Rickford, infant daughter of Ryan and Haley Davidson Rickford, passed away on May 3, 2021. Charlotte is survived by her parents, Ryan and Haley Rickford, grandparents, Scott and Stephanie Davidson, Matt and Gina Rickford and Rachael Rickford. Aunts and uncles, Makenzy Davidson, Shelby (Marcus) Hagler, Wesley (Kristina) Marshall and Tanner Marshall. A private graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Chad Denmon. Brock Adam Crow, aged 23, of Benton passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021. He was born December 12, 1997 in Sloan, Iowa. Brock graduated from Benton High School in 2016 and was working in the survey and electrical field. In his spare time Brock could be found hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, or just hanging out with friends and family. From a mischievous, dark-haired toddler with huge and beautiful eyes to a warm and caring young man, Brock has touched the lives of many; none more than his family and friends and we are going to miss him. Brock is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Bryson Smith and great-grandparents Joe and Pat Zuber. Left to cherish his memory are Brock’s parents, Trish and Jeremy Smith of Benton, brother, Tanner and sister Katelyn of the home, grandparents Robert and Theresa Zuber and Kathy Stacks all of Benton. Brock also considered Nita and William Nickleson as an extra set of grandparents. Aunts and uncles left with precious memories of Brock are Greg and Michelle Lawson of Oklahoma, Miled and Chrystal Hemissi of Bryant, Robbie and Briana Zuber, Alan Johnson, Dustye Smith, Christopher and Katie Smith and Ron Nickleson all of Benton. Cousins Keely Gaiser Mayo, Colton Vidmar, Nikki Lawson, Taylor and Austin Langston, Cameron and Trace Morin, Preston and Benjamin Zuber, Justin Johnson and Karsyn and Kori Smith are left with memories of many fun times and they all miss Brock greatly. After a difficult battle with cancer, Deborah Patterson (Burnett) passed away peacefully on May 1, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Traskwood to Robert Curtis Patterson Jr. and Frances Elaine Haislip, Debbie was described as warm and caring. Debbie was a fiercely dedicated mother, grandmother, and sister. She was thoughtful and always concerned with the wellbeing of others above herself. Debbie was a wonderful cook and often showed her love by cooking large meals for her family and friends. She was baptized in Traskwood as a teenager and remained strong in her faith throughout her life. She loved her granddaughters Laila and Amelia more than anything and was so proud of being their Nana. She also had a soft spot for animals and adopted and loved countless animals throughout her life and spoiled them rotten. She was a passionate jewelry collector and until her final days, she was always watching JTV for a good sale. Debbie also loved watching the Curse of Oak Island and was a loyal fan of the TV series. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents RC Patterson Jr. and Frances Haislip. Her brothers Michael Patterson and David Patterson, and sister Karen McPherson. She leaves behind her daughter Ashly Saint and son in law Charley Saint, and granddaughter Amelia Saint of San Jose, CA. Her son Cody Johnston, his fiance Jennifer Mason and their children Kaleb McCauley, Zander Dyer, and Laila Johnston of Malvern. She also leaves behind three sisters whom she loved dearly. Ruel Norwood Rothwell, 90, of Springfield, Missouri formerly of Benton, peacefully passed away on May 1, 2021, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born on November 11, 1930, in Fordyce, Arkansas, to the late Ruel L. and Theresa Wright Rothwell. Norwood received his education at Pine Bluff High School, Baylor University, and the University of Arkansas School of Pharmacy. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955. In 1952 he married Lorraine Walker in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. For many years they owned and operated Rothwell Drug Store in Benton, Arkansas. He also worked for Fred’s Pharmacy and the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Hospital. Norwood enjoyed volunteering at clinics in Benton, and was a member of the Kiwanis Club. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton. Norwood was predeceased by his parents, wife, Lorraine Rothwell, daughter, Jackie Montgomery and sister, Betty Rothwell Gibbs. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Lori and Jerry Corbett of Springfield, Missouri, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Robert Clark Phillips, age 56, of Tull in Saline County, passed away Friday April 30, 2021. He was born March 2, 1965 in Malvern. Robert worked at Tennessee Pride Meat Packing Co. as a meat processor, and was also a commercial fisherman, and a professional gambler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle Phillips and Linda Goodman Phillips. If Robert was your friend, he was always your friend and was always willing to help anyone at any time. He was a great man and all that knew him, loved him. He’s finally fishing that big pond above, we will miss him dearly. Survivors, sons, Jonathan C. Amanda Carol Douthit, age 34, of Bryant and passed from this life on April 30, 2021. She was born on January 3, 1987 to David and Tena Leslie in Benton, Arkanasas. Amanda was dearly loved by ones she touched throughout her lifetime. Amanda was a loving mother to her eight children, two of this earth and the six angels that preceded her in death., Amanda’s title was Chief Court Clerk at Alexander City Hall and her hobbies were crocheting, camping, hiking, the I-30 races, riding motorcycles, and loved to cook good food and loved her babies! She loved to be there for everyone and shared her heart with anyone. She was preceded in death by her children, Tori Cheyenne Douthit May 16, 2008, Kiera Ann Douthit July 30, 2010, and four others that miscarried. Amanda is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Kenneth Thomas “Tommy” Douthit; her two surviving children, Mikayla Rain Douthit and Layne Thomas Douthit, her parents, David Leslie and Tena Ravion; her sister, Charla Martinez and husband Rafael along with their children, Dalton, Ethan and Myra, her aunt Debbie McArthur and her aunt Pam Freeman along with many cousins. Charles Eppinette, of Benton, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 28 at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Charles (Pop) and Wilma Galbreaith, and father, Don Eppinette. Charles will be remembered as a fun loving, practical joke playing, generous son, husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. Charles was one of the first men to graduate from the Baptist School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Prior to that he was an EMT and an Auxiliary police officer. Charles is survived by his wife, Chris Eppinette, mother Cletus Eppinette, Children, Kristi Record, Kelly (Nate) Furr, CW Eppinette, Jordan Eppinette, Ricky and David Tankersly, sister, Jan Moore, eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gary Lynn Webb affectionately referred to as “Pa”, of Benton, passed away April 27, 2021 at the age of 68, after a brief illness. He was born December 17, 1952 to the late RA & Bertha Webb. Saved at a young age, Gary was a Baptist, and he attended Mt Vernon Baptist Church here in Benton. He retired from Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Gary served as a leader of the Magic Clover’s 4-H Club alongside his late wife, Nanette, they mentored many youth as they strived to make the best better. He was also a long-time member of the Saline Co. Fair Association where he served as president several terms and in any other capacities as needed from cooking to opening up for events, he loved the fair mission, his contributions proved it, and his actions proved he knew what it meant to the people of Saline County. Gary is survived by his daughter, Angela Clark and her husband Randy of Okolona, Arkansas. His granddaughters, Autumn Clark of Okolona, Arkansas and Shelby Roush of Bauxite, Arkansas. His brother, Don Webb and his wife Eve of Hot Springs Village. His brother in law, Phillip “Curly” Bledsoe and Linda McAdoo of Benton. His extended family, the Saline Co. Fair Association family and the many friends he met through the fair and throughout his life. We will all miss his calm demeanor, smile, infectious laugh, kindness and positive outlook. The family has peace and comfort knowing Gary is at home in Heaven, where he was greeted by many loved ones who had gone on before him including his wife, Nanette, and his parents. John Holt Tisdale, 78, died Monday, April 26, at Good Sheppard Rehabilitation after a protracted battle with diabetes and other ailments. John was a long-time resident of the Little Rock area, living most of his life on Lake Norrell. John loved the lake life and his neighbors, and was himself much beloved by that community. He’d recently moved into the senior cottages of OC in Little Rock. John was a true Southern gentleman and never met a stranger. John was a well respected businessman in the telecommunications business for many years. He loved all animals! The cats, the deer, and even the catfish were all spoiled and always knew where to come eat. John could smoke the best ham and the juiciest BBQ you ever tasted. He was a man of many talents and will be missed by so many people. John is survived by his son, Phil (Lisa) of Ft. Smith; and daughter, Nan (Todd), in Little Rock. “Pop” John always loved spending time with his grandchildren, Michael, Jenny, Christian, Maegun, and Anna. He’s also survived by his brother, Ted, in Leander, Texas. No formal funeral service is planned. A memorial service is planned for a date to be determined. Hallea “Pete” Margarete Wilson, age 89, of Prattsville; passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was born October 15, 1931 in Benton, Arkansas. Pete worked in food service at the Benton Service Center and was a member of Buie Baptist Church in Prattsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Stella Tallison; husband, Bill Wilson; daughter, Teresa Albertson; and a brother, Scotty Shelnut. Pete is survived by her brother, Rev. Teresa Lynn Berryman, age 27, of Bauxite, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. She was born December 28, 1993 in Malvern, Arkansas. Teresa graduated with Honors from Bauxite High School. She is survived by her father, Garry Don Berryman; mother, Christy Nichols (Bobby); grandparents, Franklin & Gloria Lynn Berryman, Teresa Smith Perry, and Billy Ray Stringfellow; five sisters, Maya, Sky, Victoria, Whitney, and Hailey; her fiancée, Patrick Nooner; and uncle, Billy J. Anna Evans, Hollimon, Kerr died April 23, 2021. Born March 6, 1940 to Robert and Edith Walker Evans, Heber Springs, Arkansas. Pre-deceased by her son, Timothy Hollimon, Benton; parents; and brothers: Wayne and Billy Evans, Heber Springs. Anna is survived by her Loving and Dedicated husband of 43 years, Victor M. Kerr of Benton; daughter, Brenda Hollimon; and sister, Lois Evans Meyer of Little Rock. Anna loved her nephews and nieces and many friends. God gave Anna a beautiful voice which folks enjoyed as she sang at many venues. Anna fought a long, hard battle with Muscular Dystrophy, the disease that also afflicted her son and youngest brother. Harvey Lester ”Sam” Cowling, Jr., age 63, of Coldchester, England, formerly of Bryant, AR passed away Friday April, 23, 2021. He was born March 10, 1958 in Little Rock, AR. His mother, P.J. Cowling and grandparents, Dutch and L.L. Cowling preceded him in death. Sam was a 1976 graduate of Bryant High School and moved to England in 1978. Rosetta Sue Jinks, 72, of Benton, passed away on April 23, 2021 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on October 23, 1948 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Leonard Cren and Martha Bell (Hanley) Mohler. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Christina Marie (Jinks) Hudson. Rose loved playing games on her computer, watching TV, eating out with her husband and listening to music. She enjoyed watching and directing her husband and good friend Kristi Pelle decorating her X-mas tree for all seasons. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gregory L.
