Roy Elton Pruitt, age 83, of Benton passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at his home. He was born July 13, 1939 in Monette, Arkansas. He was an aviation enthusiast from a young age and attended many air shows at LRAFB. He also loved music and baseball, and spending time with his family.
Elton was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Mable Pruitt, and his son, Dee.
Elton is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jan, sister Wendy Shea, daughters Angela Pruitt, Tammy Palmer, and son Elton Mark Pruitt (Dina), and grandchildren Mollie Palmer, Kelli Palmer, Adam Crane, and Jackson Pruitt.
James Ross Reeves, 86, of Benton, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022. He was born in Lonoke, Arkansas, on August 16, 1936 to the late Virgil and Irene Reeves. Ross’ mother passed away when he was six months old, and his father married Oralee Wright Reeves.
He grew up in the Bauxite community, attending Bauxite schools and was a member of the class of 1954.
Ross was an Air Force Veteran, serving on active duty from 1955–1959, and remained in the Reserves until 1963.
He spent 36 years working at Alcoa, retiring from the Lab in 1999.
Ross attended Holland Chapel Missionary Baptist Church over 60 years with his family. In his latter years, he served on the carpentry crew and was an active participant in the Golden Agers activities.
He was active in the Future Panther Football Program and was a coach for the Eagles, winning the championship in 1971. Ross was also a Little League baseball coach for many years.
He was a huge supporter of all activities involving his children and grandchildren and was a big Benton Panther Baseball fan.
Ross was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Linda Lou, his parents, Virgil and Oralee Wright Reeves, and brothers, Jimmy and Freddie Wright.
Ross is survived by his children, Steve and Karen Reeves, Lori and Eric Ascough, Shari and Tommy Mills, and Kristi and Jim Bundrick; his grandchildren, Laura Reeves, Stephaney Reeves, David and Jessica Reeves, Rachel and Brandon Wooten, Justin and Payton Mills; his great grands, Zoey, Race, Sage, Jack Ross, Ella, and Jon Ross; his sister, Julia Ann Campbell.
The family would like to thank the staff of Pleasant Hills Adult Daycare and Kindred Hospice Care; also acknowledge some very special ladies who became our extended family as they provided care for Dad and Mom: April, Shona, Kaleigh, Kendra and Keri.
Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20th with Bro. Kim Hammer officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery in Alexander.
Visitation will be at Ashbys, Monday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Clark James Henthorne, 59, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022. He was born to the late, Jerry and Joyce (James) Henthorne, on Friday, November 1, 1963, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Clark loved the outdoors whether it be fishing, camping, boating, or mining for crystals. A perfect day for him was simply finding an outdoor adventure with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his cousin, Jason Henthorne.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Henthorne; son, Clark Thompson Henthorne from North Little Rock; daughter, Caitlin Henthorne and her wife, Erika, from Sherwood; two brothers, Fred Henthorne and Russell Henthorne; two step daughters, Carissa Minton and Lorie Benson; ten grandchildren, Zane, Gibson, Scarlett, Hayden, Jayla, Lyndal, Bentley, Laney, Aviry, and Alix; along with a host of other family and friends who all love him and will miss him dearly.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
