Joyce Marie Phipps, 91 of Benton, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. She was born on February 6, 1931 in Bauxite, Arkansas to the late Joseph and Clemmie Huckaby Caldwell.
Joyce was married to the love of her life, Jesse Dean Phipps for over 50 years. They owned and operated Huckaby’s Grocery Store in Benton until their retirement.
Joyce was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God where she was a faithful servant of the Lord. She loved to sew and made beautiful quilts for her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jesse Dean Phipps, brother, Norman Caldwell, sons in law, Ronald Moore and Steven Cifaldi.
She is survived by son, Tommy (Brenda) Phipps of Bauxite, daughters, Darlene Moore Cifaldi and Katherine Diane (Justin) Permenter of Benton, grandchildren, Matt (Kristen) Phipps, Daniel (Heather) Phipps, Melissa (Raymond) Cleghorn, Joshua (Haleigh) Moore, Jessalyn (Dave) Rainbolt, Colt (Keri) Permenter and eight great grandchildren, Cara, Ashlynn, Madison, Piper, Kennedy, Aleigha (Colton) Josie and Archie; nieces, nephews and several grandpups.
Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday with Bro. John Bailey and Rev. Al Womack officiating. A private burial will follow.
Visitation will be at Ashbys, Friday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Betty Jewel Anthony, 84 of Benton, passed away on October 12, 2022. She was born in Morrilton to the late Fred and Katie Harrington Welch on June 2, 1938.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Alice Welch and sister and brother in law, Freda and Chuck Graber.
Betty was a lifelong member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church in Benton. Her greatest joy in life were her family, church family and friends. She was fiercely loved and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lee Anthony, daughter, Sheila (Kim) Johnson, son, Greg (Tina) Anthony and brother, Sid (Grace) Welch; grandchildren, Amanda Merrick, Heather (Nick) Johnson, Steven (Jessica) Anthony, Alisa (Spencer) Mitchell, Ashlin (Richard Fincher) Anthony, Britni (Justin) Moreland and Frank (Alyssa) Baughman; great grandchildren, Kinsey Merrick, Gabe Johnson, Garrett Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Halli Bean, Brooks Anthony, Benson Anthony, Landon Massey, Lowrey Massey, Landon Moreland, Chase Moreland and Walker Baughman.
Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at Pine Crest Cemetery.

Thelma Pauline Rider, 98 of Haskell, passed away on October 12, 2022. She was born in Saline County on April 18, 1924 to the late Richard McAdoo and Lillian Raper McAdoo.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Everee McAdoo Tallent, brother, Melvin McAdoo, sister in law, Wanda McAdoo, sons, Earl D. Rider and John Richard Rider and husband, Cornelius Paul Rider.
Thelma was a member of Mt Harmony Baptist Church in Haskell. She carried the titles of “Granny”, “Auntie Thelma”, Ms. Thelma and to friends in Harrison as Ms. Pauline.
Thelma’s greatest joys were her two granddaughters, Tami Rider Burcham Edwards and Teresa Rider Bult. She loved gardening, quilting, reading, cooking and fishing. Thelma was the epitome of joy and sunshine, brightening the lives of anyone she met with her “look on the bright side” mindset and sassy wit and sense of humor. She was a big firecracker in a small body. She will be forever treasured and missed tremendously.
Thelma is survived by her two granddaughters, Tami (Todd) Rider Burcham Edwards and Teresa (Ryan) Rider Bult; daughter in law, JoAn Kay Rider, grandchildren, Garrett James (Amanda) Burcham, Neal (Alexi) Rider Burcham and Carter Wayne Burcham, Ryder James Bult, Lawson Michael Bult, Dibora Kay Bult and Kani Larandall Crowder; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and extended family who loved her dearly.
Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be Tuesday, October 18th at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Mt. Harmony Cemetery in Haskell.
Visitation will be at Ashbys, Monday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
