Bobby E. Summerville, 73 of Mabelvale, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home surrounded by his family on August 10, 2022. Bobby was born in Traskwood, Arkansas on October 17, 1948 to Horace Eugene and Eula Mae Lobbs Summerville. He was lovingly met in Heaven by his parents and sister, Charlotte.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Barbara, daughters, Jennifer (David) Crabtree, Stefanie (Chris) Davis, Cindy Wilson; son, Steven Summerville, nine grandkids, seven great grandkids, brother, Danny Summerville and sister, Pat Neighbors-Griffin.
Bobby retired after 39 years with Hiland (Coleman) Dairy. He ran the last home delivery route that Coleman Dairy had in 1995 and was featured on TV and in the newspaper. He went on to be the Loss Control Manager at Hiland Dairy at the time of his retirement.
From 1970 to 1986, Bobby was a stock car driver at I-30, Batesville, Heber Springs and several other tracks around the state. He finished in the top 3 at Batesville, Heber Springs and I-30.
Bobby and Barbara loved riding their Goldwing trike. One of their favorite trips was 1600 miles to Greenville, South Carolina. They were Chapter Presidents of the Little Rock Goldwing Chapter and made many friends in the Goldwing community.
Bobby was a loving husband to his wife, Barbara who he adored. They were together for 17 short years and made the most of every moment. You very seldom saw one without the other. Their total devotion to one another could never be doubted.
Through Bobby’s faith in Christ, he excelled at being the best husband, father, grandfather and friend. His legacy will live on through his family and friends.
The family wants to thank Dr. Wilder, Tiffany Willis and Paula of Carti; Dr. Jason Holder for all the wonderful care they gave to Bobby through this journey.
Bobby was a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene and had a strong faith in God and His love. The past two years of his life as he received chemo at Carti, he would hand out pennies with a cross on them and testify to God’s goodness. He told everyone that God’s got this.
Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15th with his dear friend and pastor, Tim Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery

William Mark Winters, age 77, of Benton, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022. He was born February 5, 1945 in Houston, Texas. Mark was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton and also attended the First United Methodist Church in Benton with his wife. He worked several years wholesaling cars for Michael Callahan and later drove cars for Mark Duke.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dempsey Mark Winters & Nettie Womble Winters and a son, Robert David (Davey) Winters.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Cissie) Winters; son, Brian Mark Winters; and a brother, Robert Winters.
Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17 at Ashby Funeral Home with memorial services beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Charles Ebb King Sr., age 87, of Benton, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022. He was born September 22, 1934 in Huntsville, Arkansas. Charles worked several years as a barber.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Julius Gurdon King & Flossie Marie Jett King and a brother, Jimmy R. King.
Charles is survived by his wife, Vida King of Benton; son, Charles King Jr. (Victoria) of Cary, North Carolina; daughter, Cynthia James (Todd) of Lonsdale; brother, Kenneth King of Springdale; four grandchildren, Andrea King, Vicky King, Blake James, and Amy James; and one great-grandson, Brantley James.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Bauxite. Bro. Paul Sheets will be officiating.
Mary Gail (McWilliams) Blackburn, 85, of Benton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 12, 2022, surrounded by her family. Gail is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, William Thomas (Tom) Blackburn, and parents, George Lee McWilliams and Ruth Marion (Bennett) McWilliams; sister, Betty McWilliams English; and brother, Paul Ray McWilliams. Gail is survived by her son, Thomas Paul Blackburn (Freida). She was a very special Granny to her grandchildren, Lauren Blackburn Harter (Jason); Megan Blackburn Cole (Jason); great-grandchildren, Owen Thomas Harter and Callan Elliott Cole; and sisters, Gwen McWilliams Wilson (Pete) and Mickey McWilliams Ramsey (Tommy Dean).
Gail was born November 19, 1936 in Bodcaw, Arkansas. She graduated from Benton High School in 1955. She was a homemaker, dedicated to raising her son and helping with her granddaughters once they came along. Gail was very involved in genealogical research and was a charter member, officer, and board member of the Saline County History and Heritage Society. The love of genealogical research allowed her to trace her heritage and become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), allowing her granddaughters to be charter members of the Children of the American Revolution (CAR). Gail was a member of First Baptist Church Benton where she was an active member of the Ladies Adult 6 Sunday School class.
A graveside service for family will be held at 10:00 AM on August 16, 2022 at New Rosemont Cemetery in Benton with Dr. Rick Grant officiating. Phone calls in lieu of visits at the family home would be appreciated.

Syble Lorene Caple, 93 of Bryant, passed away on August 11, 2022. She was born on December 15, 1928 in Granite, Oklahoma to the late William and Josephine Archer Cates.
Syble was a member of West Bauxite Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd Caple, five brothers and two sisters.
Syble is survived by her son, David (Tammy) Caple, daughter, Darlene (Stan) Stone, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Phoebe Joy (Hendrix) Chambers was born in Benton, Arkansas, on August 12, 1941. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert, her mother, Mabel, and her husband, Lindy Dale Chambers, Sr. She was a loving and giving soul to her five children and their spouses, her 20 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Phoebe has been lovingly given several nicknames: ”Granny” by her grandchildren; ”GiGi” by her great-grandchildren; ”Pokey” by her childhood and young adulthood friends; and ”Speedy” by her children due to her uncanny ability to be tardy to family events and a coworker who misunderstood her name on the phone and called her Speedy.
Phoebe lived a life of service to others in her community. She attended Benton Public Schools and later received diplomas and degrees as an Emergency Medical Technician, Licensed Psychiatric Technical Nurse, and Licensed Practical Nurse. She served as a volunteer at the Springhill Fire Department, a Saline County reserve deputy and dispatcher. She later become an EMT for two Little Rock ambulance services and went on to work for over 20 years as security at the Alexander Youth Service Center. Her final role before retirement was working as a geriatric nurse at the Arkansas Health Center.
Phoebe’s many hobbies included cooking for her family, including dozens of homemade pies for holiday gatherings, collecting Peanuts memorabilia (especially Snoopy), playing Solitaire on her computer, watching old western movies, listening to music by Barbra Streisand, and reading her Bible.
Phoebe entered heaven one day prior to her 81st birthday. Her family and friends wish her the happiest celebration in heaven with her lord and savior, Jesus!

Lynette “Tracy” Lorene Earles, 60, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, August 10th, 2022. She was born to the late, Art and Ella Mae (Sanders) Brown, on Friday, June 22, 1962, in Jackson, California. She enjoyed being surrounded by her dogs, going fishing, and spending time with her family. She was such a positive person, and always made bad situations seem good. She worked at her family’s store, Crazy Cals, for many years.
She is preceded in death by parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of five years, Brad Earles; three children, Misty Spangler, Amber Spangler (Chris), and Steven Spangler; two stepchildren, Jesse Earles and Shiann Minor (Ryan); eight grandchildren, Ian, Christina, Reagan, Devin, Raylan, Reese, Rayna, and one on the way; two sisters, Debbie Wilson and Patricia Brown; along with a host of other family and friends who all love her and will miss her presence greatly.

John (Johnny) Dale Plummer, age 76, formerly of Traskwood, AR and recently of Benton, AR left his family and friends on Saturday, August 13th, 2022, to be with his wife in heaven. He was born February 10th, 1946, in Little Rock, Arkansas at St. Vincent Inf. to the late, John Kieser Plummer and Frances L. Richards Plummer Rodman. He graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1964 where he played football. He married his high school sweetheart, Sandra (Sandy) Kay Plummer on July 9th, 1966 in Levy Methodist Church. They were married for 54 years and loved each other dearly.
Johnny was devoted to his family and was always there for them. He was a pillar of strength and made friends easily. He was the best husband and father, always supporting his family emotionally as well as financially. His family always came first.
Johnny retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T after working there for 37 years. He loved camping and boating with his wife and family. His hobbies were reading, genealogy and cars. He enjoyed working on cars with his son. He enjoyed woodworking and cabinetry with his daughter. He took great pleasure in the achievements of his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandy Plummer; sister, Christina Plummer Carpenter and an infant brother.
Johnny is survived by his daughter, Leata Plummer; son, John Plummer and his wife, Pam; granddaughter, Stacy Plummer; grandson, Johnathan Plummer; great-grandson, Ian Plummer; brother, Richard Plummer (Doris); sister, Mary Carol Horne (Don); brothers, Ronald “Lewie” Plummer (Brenda); Michael Plummer (Annie) and William “Billy” Plummer. Johnny also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who all love him and will miss him dearly.
