Toni Wallace was welcomed into the world on June 12, 1943 in San Francisco, CA. She was a WW 2 gift of love to Mr. & Mrs. Ernest and Dorothy Martinak.
Toni enjoyed a life typical of a Dallas youth in the 50’s and 60’s. An active student life at Grinner Elementary School and Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas.
A career in the computer business did much to broaden the scope of her professional life. Toni’s tenacity was best realized as she entered the world of the single mother. She was suddenly the sole responsibility for three lives. The “Glass Ceiling” was sometimes identified as a career “barrier” to some. Not for Toni…. Her anything you can do, I can do better ”attitude served her well in the world of computer marketing both at Xerox Computer Systems and other related automated system companies.
She was that special friend that you never forgot: Toni was the Sister that you did not have, but always wanted. The Mother that made you feel good and enriched your life..,
A wife, that offered her husband the highest level of “Shared Happiness”.
1978 was her decision making year, She, “nursed” her boyfriend (Don) back to health and then married him!!.
Toni’s Baptist life “ran deep” but no deeper than when her Son Wayne was graduated from Baylor Law School.
She and her husband Don traveled extensively in several continents dreaming dreams that they never hoped to find, let alone share with each other.
If you wish to learn more about this wonderful person, attend her memorial service which will be held at the Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 28 at 10 am.
She is survived by her husband, Don Wallace, sons; Wayne Lacy and wife Stacy Lacy, Son Bradley Lacy, Granddaughter Brianne, Sister Connie Martinak and Step Daughter Deb Wallace.

Sharon Lee Whittington Hunt, age 73, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away peacefully after her courageous battle with lung cancer on June 5, 2016.
Sharon was born in Lubbock, Texas to Virgil and Mae Perry Dillard on January 14, 1943. Virgil served in the Army during World War II while Mae raised Sharon and her younger brother Jack. In 1961, Sharon graduated from Lubbock High School where she developed lifelong friendships that flourished to this day. It was during these formidable years that Sharon honed her extraordinary gift of gab, a dry sense of humor and infectious laugh. These traits, along with her strong faith in God and devotion to her family, were the fabric of her character that made her such a wonderful and caring mother, spouse and friend.
One of Sharon’s greatest accomplishments and joys in her life was raising her three children. She was always the first to volunteer for carpool, serve as den mother in their classroom, bake cookies for snacks, and of course, provide daily reminders to finish chores and homework. She never missed a football game, a wrestling match, cheerleading half time show or track meet and was often the most animated and enthusiastic supporter at her kids’ events. Sharon was a compassionate and nurturing mother who instilled the values of family, friends and faith throughout the life of her kids; from early childhood to youth to adults and ultimately, parents themselves. These lifelong lessons are enduring in their lives.
Sharon was an amazing cook of traditional southern comfort food and loved to travel, particularly as she did for over three decades with her friends from the Q&A group. She volunteered her time and energy to support her church as well as numerous charitable organizations including Meals on Wheels, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and many other worthwhile causes.
After raising three children, Sharon pursued a career as a real estate agent in Dallas, Texas where her ability to connect with people in a meaningful way proved that a farm raised girl from West Texas could be successful in the big city. Sharon also served on the Board of Directors of Pillar Income Asset Management, Inc., a real estate development company, for over eleven years. In 2005, Sharon retired to Hot Springs Village where she spent her time doting on her four grandchildren, serving her church, making friends laugh and dabbling in politics as the local President of the Women’s Republican Party.
Cancer may have gotten the best of her body but was no match for her laughter, faith and enduring spirit. Sharon had a profound impact on the lives of her friends and family and will leave a legacy of love and faithfulness to all those who had the fortunate opportunity to know her.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Mae, and brother Jack.
