Rosetta Smith age 85, of Bryant passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023.
She was born February 28, 1938 in Dell, Arkansas. Rosetta was retired from St. Vincent Hospital, where she worked in the Linen Service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Childers and Dora Mae McMinn Childers, two sons, Ralph Leon Cooper and Perry Cooper, two brothers, Carton Violett and Charlie Violett, two sisters, Fannie Mae Henson and Katie Shirley.
Survivors, daughter, Pamela Huelsman, grandchildren, Kevin Nguyen, Kimberly Nguyen, Matthew Standridge, Tiffany Cooper, great-grandchildren, Bryanna Flores, Kimberly Flores, Katlyn Nguyen and Rose Marie Standridge.

With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, the Lavender, Noles, Mayberry, Larson & Mosier families announce the passing of our loving, kind, caring, devout and unimaginably generous mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend Lena Christine “Chris” Lavender Wright, age 92, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on March 3, 2023.
Chris was born April 12, 1930, to Armon & Marie Lavender in Hot Springs, Arkansas. After Chris graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1948, she went to study business at Draughon School of Business.
After graduating with a degree in Business, she started work for the State of Arkansas, kickstarting a 20+ year career as a state employee working for multiple agencies. She also worked as an administrative assistant for Doctors Ashby, Hogue, Thorne, Joe Martindale & Tilley for 10+ years.
In 1950, Chris met her loving husband J.D. Wright at Lonsdale Skating Rink. Chris & J.D. went on to have three beautiful daughters, Kathy Wright Larson, Karen Wright & Lisa Wright Mosier.
In 1992, Chris retired and spent her time with family, traveling, attending church & volunteering in the community. She was a loyal and faithful servant to our Lord and Savior. Her dedication to church and family was admirable. She was very active in the church and in the lives of her loved ones. She volunteered in the church office, sang in the church choir, coached softball, led Girl Scouts and participated in many more activities to show her love and devotion to her family, friends, and church.
Chris was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Wright, her parents, Armon & Marie Lavender, her daughters, Karen Wright, Kathy Wright Larson. She is survived by her sisters Vera Noles & Lois Mayberry, her daughter, Lisa Wright Mosier, her son in laws, Mike Larson & Timothy Mosier, her grandchildren, Jenny Larson Cook (Adam), Jay Larson, Lela Mosier Cook, Lynzi Mosier Frizzell (Zack), her great grandchildren, Matthew Cook, Jason Cook (Abby), Clinton Cook & Lyna Frizzell.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Pam Gudino, Gentiva Hospice, Andrew RN with Gentiva, Alcoa Pines Health & Rehabilitation & Arkansas Asset Protection Group.
Visitation services will be held 1pm and funeral services will be held at 2pm at First United Methodist Church in Benton, Arkansas on March 10, 2023. Burial at Hicks Cemetery following services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to First United Methodist Church of Benton or CJCOHN, organizations she felt strongly about.
Donald Fleming Whitcomb, 64, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023. He was born on Friday, September 26, 1958.
His celebration of life will be held at Eagle Point Church of God on Geyer Springs at a later date.
