Lura Christine Clement (nee Barney) had a First Class window seat to Heaven on 02/05/2022. She is predeceased by her Mother and Step Father, Dorothy and Bill Dain, her Father and Step Mother, Marion and Wanda Barney, a sister Mary Alice Greenway and brother Henry Barney.

I would like to tell a story about Momma that I think sums her up pretty well. She had a motto that she lived by for many years which was displayed next to her bathroom sink so that she could be reminded daily. LIFE is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and PROUDLY proclaiming – WOW, what a ride!! The last day in her Earthly body a “Man” sat next to her all day. She asked who it was and could anyone else here the “music”. I have no doubt that that “Man” was our Lord and Savior and that “music” where Angels and Golden Harps guiding her home. She fought hard for many years and she absolutely upheld every word in that motto.
Momma had a pure heart of gold. She was the most caring and compassionate person; a genuine care for humanity. She was strong and strong-willed, a little testy, attuned with her faith and had a love for her family like no other. Everyone who met her fell in love with her and her all around fun to be around self.
Some only knew her as Momma or Nana not knowing she actually had a name; and she loved it. She hugged you to greet you and hugged you to say goodbye. She would not want us to be sad and make a big deal over her. She would want us to rejoice and find solace knowing that she is whole and healed again. She would want us to remember the good times, the laughs and the abundance of shenanigans that she participated in.
With that being said she absolutely did not want a funeral and all of us “making a fuss” over her. At some point there will be a party with loud music so that we can celebrate her homecoming.
