On February 6th, 2023 FRANKIE N. CHANDLER of Benton, Arkansas left this earthly world to be with her Lord and savior at the age of 79 after a long and courageous fight with ALZTHEIMERS and a brief battle with cancer. Today, she dances with angels.
“Though she be but little, she is fierce.” – William Shakespeare
Frankie was born on July 23, 1943 in Monticello, Arkansas. She graduated from Central High in Little Rock and attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway for two years. She lived most of her remaining years in Benton and Haskell Arkansas. Frankie is preceded in death by the love of her life, Jerry H. Chandler, her beloved mother and best friend, Eleanor “Boonie” Miller, a granddaughter Meagan Cheek, and two brothers Dudley Boone and Chris Miller.
She leaves behind three daughters: Tracie Bryant of Benton, AR, Debbie Wright of Benton, AR and Kathie Cheek and son-in-law Patrick Cheek of Walls, Mississippi. Four grandsons and two granddaughters: Trenton Cheek of Walls, Mississippi (currently Japan), Kacie Bryant of Benton, AR, Benjamin Mills of Chicago Illinois, Tanner Cheek of Walls Mississippi, Samuel Mills of Benton AR, Madison Tindall of Benton, Arkansas and an “extra” grandson Chad Rogers of Benton AR.
Five brothers and three sisters, a sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frankie loved deeply and unconditionally. She is known for her kind heart and thoughtfulness. She was a selfless person, always putting others before herself including strangers. The majority of the people here have probably received numerous cards in the mail from her. Many have been lucky enough to receive a birthday card every year with a $1 bill included for each year of their life. She had a great love for dominoes, anything chocolate, ice cream, dressing up for Halloween, the Razorbacks, and the USA.
Frankie’s love for her daughters and grandchildren was indescribable. Her love for her mother and brothers and sisters was just as strong. If you were a stranger who coincidentally made eye contact with Frankie, your life likely changed that moment with big blessings to follow. Likewise for any stray animal that coincidentally crossed her path. To know her is to love her.
Please join us in celebrating Frankie’s life.
A final note from her girls: “All that I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.” – Abraham Lincoln
