Lillie Mae Snow, 92, from Alexander, AR passed away on February 1, 2023. She was born on April 17, 1930 in Danville, AR to the late Tom and Lillie Crawford.
Lillie was a member of the Avilla Lutheran Church. She retired from Canteen Food and Vending Service in 1987 but continued to work with many Saline County businesses until she retired at the age of 88. Due to her work with Saline County businesses and community service she was recognized as a Saline County Outstanding Citizen. She is a past member of the Business and Professional Women’s Foundation and a Woman of the Year many years ago.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Hollie Edgar Snow, her parents and 6 siblings, Murlys Crawford (Ruth), Thelma Hutchens (Leonard), Julia Inez Bailey (Elijah), Tommye Hamilton (James), Mattie Higgs (Raymond), and Bill Crawford (Ruth), a son, Timothy Alan Snow, and son-in-law, Tommy Merritt.
She is survived by two step-daughters, Leslie Merritt and Johney Edburg (Helmer), two grandsons, Arnie Shilling (Suzan) and Andy Shilling (Sheri), niece, Martha McMillen (Donny), and numerous more nieces and nephews, great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Allston Shilling, Donny McMillen, Cash McMillen, Bill Crawford, Derek Crawford, Edward Higgs, Tyler Higgs, and Tommy Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be Alec Shilling, Bud Finley, and Doug Mays.
Visitation will be at 1:00 on Saturday, February 4, 2023 with funeral services at 2:00 at Ashby Funeral Home, 108 W. Narroway, in Benton AR 72015. Graveside services will follow at Pine Crest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 North, Alexander, AR 72002.
Lillie enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She and Hollie loved to dance. They spent numerous weekends at the VFW. They also enjoyed going to the casinos, the horse races, football games, and hosting numerous fish fries and parties at their house. Lillie was a hard worker and took pride in whatever she did. She enjoyed working and all the people it brought her in contact with throughout the years. Some of her best friends she met through the various job opportunities she had including her husband, Hollie. She was a diehard Razorback fan. She could always be found during game time in front of the television cheering the Hogs on to victory. She loved her family and spending time with them.

William David Newkirk, 47 of Haskell, passed away on January 30, 2023. He was born on January 7, 1976 to the late Tommy Newkirk, Sr. and Joy Marie Hubbell Newkirk.
William was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas (Samantha) Newkirk of Glen Rose; one daughter and aunt, Carolyn Newkirk of Haskell.
Cremation was entrusted to Ashby Funeral Home.
