Zarious Ge-Borris Evans, 13, passed away January 15, 2023. He was born July 13, 2009 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Zarious was a student at Benton Junior High School. He was willing and open to try new things. Zarious was brave and outspoken. He enjoyed sports and played basketball and football. Zarious was a typical teenage boy who spent time playing video games and hanging out with his best friends, Tyler, Diego, CJ, and Tay. He was a member of the Benton Jr. High ROTC. Family was special to Zarious and he was especially close to his sister, Zariah. Although he left us way to soon, we are comforted by our faith that we will see Zarious again.
Zarious leaves behind to cherish his memory his grandmother who has raised him since he was an infant, Martha Burton of Benton, Arkansas; sister, Zariah Evans of Benton; aunt and uncle, Sirquetta and Willie Reliford, III of Shreveport, Louisiana; cousin, Dionna Reliford of Benton; step-father, Maceo Carter of DFW, Texas; close friends: Tyler, Diego, CJ, and Tay; and many cousins, family members, and friends who love Zarious and will miss him always.
Celebration of Zarious’ life will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 28, at Benton Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2615 Congo Road in Benton, Arkansas. Additional services will be held in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Glen Neal “Duck” Daniels, 83, of Benton, Arkansas passed away January 17, 2023. He was born November 15, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Earnest and Ruby Tilley Daniels.
Glen was a graduate of Mabelvale High School. He worked in the composing department at Arkansas Gazette, prior to it being renamed to Arkansas Democrat/Gazette. Glen was a member of Benton First United Methodist Church and the Covenant Class. He was also a member of Iron Springs Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star. Glen served as a Red Coat at the Arkansas State Capitol. Some of Glen’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He was his grandchildrens’ and great-grandchildrens’ number one fan and went to many of their sporting events to cheer them on. Glen enjoyed telling good jokes. Problem was, Glen rarely finished telling them as he would be laughing so hard, he never got to the punchline!
Preceding Glen in death are his parents, Earnest and Ruby Daniels; and siblings: Bernice Bruce, Earnestine McHenry, Barbara Ball, Thomas Daniels, and James Edward Daniels.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 62 years, Linda Daniels of Benton, Arkansas; daughters: Karen Calaway of Benton, Arkansas and Sharon Hopkins and her husband Wade of Fayetteville, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren: Taylor Doan (Justin) of Benton, Brittany Garrigus (Zach) of Benton, Adam Calaway of Benton, Natalie Jobe (Kaleb) of Fayetteville, Connor Calaway (Britt) of Adrian, Michigan, and Nick Hopkins (Madison) of Fayetteville; 9 great-grandchildren: Cali Doan, Nathaniel Garrigus, Jackson Garrigus, Brayleigh Garrigus, Adalynn Garrigus, Griffin Calaway, Henry Jobe, Easton Jobe, and Blakely Jobe; sister, Patrician Ann Black of Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of family members and friends who love Glen and will miss him always.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Monday, January 23, with funeral service, officiated by Rev. Keith Dodson, following at 11:00 AM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street in Benton, Arkansas. Burial following at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.

Danny Robnett, age 60, of Stuttgart Arkansas passed away on January 16, 2023. Danny was born to John Leo Robnett and Shirley Robnett on October 21, 1962. He went to school in Stuttgart. He married Mary (Connell) Robnett on March 4, 2000, at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Benton, AR. He worked for Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority for 36 years and loved to hunt and to be outdoors.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents: John and Shirley. He is survived by his wife Mary: his sons Brenden and Noah: his brother Randy (Dawn) and numerous family and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be James Louis Prislovsky, Brad Newkirk, Steve Murray, Joe Hinojosa, Rick Lee, Rob Little, and Johnnie Patton.
The rosary is at 6:00pm followed by the visitation until 8:00 pm Friday, January 20, 2023, at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home in Benton. The Funeral will be Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 10:00 at Our Lady Catholic Church in Benton with burial to follow at a later date.
