Daniel Earl Ivy, age 70 of Benton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was born on June 22, 1952 in Little Rock to Mary Ann and the late Albin Ivy. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton.
Dan lettered in football for the Benton High School Panthers as a member of the class of 1970. He attended Henderson State University and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where he worked in the Department of Civil Engineering to become a licensed Professional Land Surveyor. Between his time at Henderson and the U of A, he served as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Army while stationed in Germany.
He operated his own land surveying business in Hot Springs Village, AR for 39 years and was active in the Arkansas Society of Professional Surveyors. He loved the camaraderie of outdoor activities with his friends and family as well as taking trips to visit his granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his father Albin Ivy and his sister, Victoria Ivy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce Holiman Ivy of Benton; Son, Reid Ivy, daughter-in-law Daina Ringus, and granddaughters, Veronika Ivy and Ula Ivy of Riverside, IL; mother, Mary Ann Ivy of Benton; brother, Andy Ivy of Hot Springs and sister, Janie Vanlone of Benton.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Ashbys. Chapel services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday January 19th at Ashby Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Grant officiating.

W C Hunter, age 88, of Sardis, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023. He was born March 2, 1934 in Prattsville, Arkansas. W C was an Army Veteran and retired from the Pulaski County School District. He was a board member of Sardis Community Bible Church. W C is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey & Lottie Victoria Hunter; wife, Frances Hunter; two sons, Matthew Daniel Hunter and Ronald Lynn Hunter; grandson, Allen Anderson and eight brothers and sisters, Harvey Jr., Viva, Havis, Geniva, Raymond, Loring, Carolyn, and Lonnie Hunter.
He is survived by three children, Bobby Joe Hunter, Timothy Dewayne Hunter, and Theresa Dianne Palmer; eleven grandchildren, Shaun Neeley, Chris Hunter, Shantelle Brown, Mandie Hunter, Aimee Droddy, Andrea Phillip, Jamie Siegler, Leslie McGee, Leesa Palmer, Hunter Palmer, and Daniel Hunter; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren on the way.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 19 at Sardis Community Bible Church with burial at Salem Cemetery in East End.
Louise Horsey, 95, of Natural Steps, Arkansas went to her heavenly home January 13, 2023. She was born November 25, 1927 to Roy and Nellie Graves. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Gene Horsey; son, Jeffory Scott Horsey; parents, Roy and Nellie Graves; sister, Frances Horsey; and brothers, Sonny and Johnny Graves.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Jeanie Roystuart; grandson, Chris Roystuart; great-grandsons: Caleb and Cole Roystuart; brother, Ken Graves; and many nieces and nephews.
Louise lived around Pinnacle Mountain most of her life and continued to tell you she was going home to the mountain. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist churches in the Natural Steps area. She always offered a helping hand to any that needed it.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Natural Steps Cemetery.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, nephew, and niece. Brenda Kaye McBride, 71, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023. She was born to the late, Bryce C. Blaney and Mary Louise Triplet, on Friday, September 7, 1951, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Brenda was known for being straight forward, saying what she thought and didn’t care what others thought about it. She was a beer drinking boot scootin’ country loving woman, who loved spending her time outdoors doing things like hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. Brenda always loved listening to her son, Charles, play the guitar while also singing along. She adored her family and loved every minute she spent being with them. Brenda’s biggest joy was volunteering for the V.A.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bryce and Mary Blaney; husband, Raymond McBride; and brother, James Blaney.
Brenda is survived by her son, Charles Cecil Cagle III; two sisters, Retha Mae Lawson and Charlotte Lavonne Rathbun; three nieces, Valerie K. Rankin-Schneider, Debbie Kaye Brenner, and Kimberly Lee Potts; nephew, Robert Cardington Blaney; along with numerous other family and friends who all love her and will miss her dearly.
Celebration of life will be on Tuesday, January 17th, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
