Howard Arthur Shaw, 77 of Benton, passed away on January 11, 2023. He was born on November 21, 1945 in Adrian, Michigan to the late Karl and Isabelle Reis Shaw.
Howard was a graduate of Addison High School in Addison, Michigan in 1963. Howard married the love of his life, Linda on June 22, 1968. He retired from Goodyear in March of 2003.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, B. J. Shaw; and a brother, Richard Shaw.
Howard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Lawrence Shaw of Benton; daughter, Tammy Brower; sister, Barbara Charbonnean; two grandchildren, Wendy and Sarah; and three great-grandchildren, Victoria, Kayley, and Aurora.

Barbara E. Leech, age 78, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She was born June 27, 1944 in Bauxite, Arkansas. Barbara graduated from Benton High School and was Miss Benton in 1962. She had a voice like an angel and was a very talented artist in all mediums.
After much persuasion, Barbara married the love of her life, Jack Leech. They had 59 loving years together.
Barbara was the most giving and caring person you would ever have the pleasure of meeting. She touched so many lives, giving to the homeless and charities of all kinds. She never forgot a birthday. Barbara loved flowers, animals and was always the go to person in our family if we had an ailment. Barbara loved to decorate her home for Christmas and when the first snow of the season fell, it was her family tradition to make popcorn balls for her great nephews, Kelley and Michael and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas A. and Lorena Dolores Moore Raney; sister, Dolores Richards; and a great-nephew, Kelley R. Chandler.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Jack Leech; two brothers, Ralph E. Raney (Wilma) and Robert T. “Bob” Raney (Audrey); niece, Deb Hawkins (Doug); nephew, Randy Richards (Rhonda); great-nephew, Michael Richards (Susan); and a great-great-niece, Madison Richards.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14 at Ashby Funeral Home with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery on Mt. View Rd in Benton.
Linda L. Ruckman, age 74, of Haskell, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She was born November 12, 1948 in Des Arc, Arkansas. Linda was a secretary and a member of Temple Missionary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Frances Hinds; daughter, Penny Ruckman; and a brother, Anthony Hinds.
Linda is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Ruckman; son, Todd Ruckman (Teresa); daughter, Kristina Mays (Tim); sister, Judy Perry (Allan); nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and life-long best friends, Jack and Earnie Mae McWhorter.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14 in the Christian Life Center at the First United Methodist Church in Benton with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Robbie Horne and Bro. Keith Dodson will be officiating.
