Nancy Lea Fischer, 60 of Benton, passed away on January 3, 2023. She was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to Roland and Ruby Lee Harris James.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Roland James and Ruby Lee Harris James; brother, Roger Dale James.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, M. Steve Fischer, son, Caleb (April) Orion Fischer, brothers, Jerry (Patsy) James, Gary (Renea) James; two grandchildren, Sam Morgan and Addilynn Fischer and a host of relatives and friends.
Nancy had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. She was always willing to help anyone and would always brighten a room. She always enjoyed traveling and is now in a much better place, enjoying being with all of her friends and family that were waiting for her at the gates of Heaven. She is now able to run the streets of gold in Heaven and run with her beloved wild mustangs in Wyoming, her long black hair flowing in the wind.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 7th at Gravel Hill Cemetery with Bro. Gary Gipson and Dr. Rick Grant officiating.
Harrel “Don” Runyan, 81, of Benton, Arkansas passed away January 4, 2023. He was born May 12, 1941 in Amity, Arkansas to the late Harrel and Estell Adcock Runyan. Don married his wife, Jane Wilkinson Runyan in 1972, sharing 50 years of marriage. Don served his country by serving in the 39th Infantry Division of the Arkansas National Guard. Don worked for ABF in the Little Rock office for 32 years, retiring in 1992. After his retirement, he went to work as a sales associate for Francis RV and RV City in Benton.
Don leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Jane; his brothers: Jack (Paulette) Runyan of Benton, Travis Runyan (Jan) of Hot Springs and Jim (Inez) of Glenwood, four nephews, two nieces, eleven cousins, and special friends, Brian Ahart of Austin, Texas and Michelle Ahart Cannon of Needville, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St. Benton, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tim Evans and Rev. Jerry Fagan officiating. A graveside service will be held at Sweet Home Cemetery in Amity, Arkansas following the service at 1:30 PM.

Tracy Mitchell Gay, 51, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. He was born to, Donald and Alvertia (Mitchell) Gay, on Saturday, May 8, 1971, in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Tracy always loved learning new things. He enjoyed spending time at the gym, going fishing, and going on vacation, but most of all, spending time with his family. He also enjoyed cooking and eating! He loved helping people and was a police officer for 30 years. He went to the police academy in 1994.
Tracy is preceded in death by his father, Donald C. Gay.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Tracy Gay; son, Trevor Gay (Kylie) of Benton, Arkansas; two daughters, Olivia Gay and Brittany Gay; two grandchildren, Layla Nickleson and Hazleigh Gay; his sister, Donna Gay; his brothers and sisters in blue; along with numerous other family and friends who all love him and will miss him greatly.
Tracy’s visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 P.M and his celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
