I’ve been sitting on this announcement until the owners and the City of Benton were ready… There’s been an empty restaurant for a long time in Benton. It sits at the entry to Hickory Square. What do you mean, you don’t know where Hickory Square is? Okay then, in front of the Tinseltown movie theater.
As of about two weeks ago, new restaurant owners began work on the building, and they’ve been documenting their journey to preparing the place to become…
The Agave Grill.
Agave is the plant known for producing the substance used to make tequila. It’s nectar is also used as a sweetener. You might guess from the name that The Agave Grill will be a Mexican restaurant.
See their Facebook page for videos on the progress. It’s kind of fun to watch.
Ryan Brown and Scott Hanayik are behind this venture. The building in question has a varied past. It’s held several Mexican restaurants, including Sabore’s, Patron & Cafe Santa Fe. Click the link/pic below from the Benton Proud blog to see more about this new dining option to open somewhere around July.
