The County is looking for volunteers to help with a morning of debris and litter clean-up along Mulberry Salem Road, between Congo Road to McGee Road.
On Saturday May 18th at 9:00 a.m., Saline County, in conjunction with the Saline County Road Department, will meet at at 9:00 a.m., on May 18th at Riverside Grocery, located at 4444 Highway 5 in Benton. The Saline County Road Department will provide volunteers with trash bags and vests. The County will also provide trucks so that volunteers can properly dispose of the litter that they collect.
Cleaning up the ditches will help allow stormwater to drain properly and help ensure the quality of the water because the water that drains in the ditches flows into numerous creeks and streams within Saline County’s MS4 stormwater area.
If you would like to volunteer, contact John Wofford at the Saline County Road Department at 501-303-5690 or [email protected] or County Judge Jeff Arey at 501-303-5640 or [email protected].
