According to the Bryant Police Department, officers were dispatched Tuesday afternoon, May 9, 2017, to an accident with a fatality at the intersection of Shobe Rd. and Brookwood.
Alex “A.J.” Sponer, age 32, of Benton, was on his motorcycle traveling westbound on Shobe Rd. when he lost control of his bike. When he went down, he slid into oncoming traffic where he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Shobe. The injuries to Alex Sponer were fatal. The accident is still under investigation at this time.
