UPDATE 09/07/2016: New Restaurant Takes Mo’ Betta’s Spot, Serves Healthy AND Serves Homeless on Sundays https://www.mysaline.com/epm-open-1609
This is why you HAVE TO shop local. Here’s a restaurant that had no peer in Saline County in their category, it was located right on the Interstate, and had really good food. The following announcement from the owners regarding closing their doors made a serious frown on my face. I love these folks and will miss their food and friendly service.
It is with a heavy heart that I make this post. I regret to announce that Mo Betta Gumbo Arkansas will be closing it’s door this Saturday for good. We have enjoyed the ride ya’ll! There are not words enough to express the gratitude that Brooks and I feel for the ones of you that we call “regulars” (you know who you are) You have become like family to us and we love you all. We appreciate all the love and kindness that so many of you have shown over the past two years. This community is a very special place and we have enjoyed serving so many of its wonderful people. To our staff…. We have been blessed beyond measure. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more competent and committed group of individuals with whom to share this crazy endeavor. Thanks for joining us on this wild ride. We love you all more than you know.
THANK YOU and farewell, MO BETTA
As a small business myself, I am all too familiar with the struggles of making it all work and having anything left to feed yourself.
Please guys, #shoplocal.
Goodbye, Mo’ Betta.
