West was located at approximately 8:45 PM on Feb. 24th and is back safe with his family. We wish to thank everyone for their help.
A Silver Alert has been issued for Benton resident Percy West, The 82-year-old, who has dementia and diabetes, was reported missing by family members Saturday afternoon.
West is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with long white hair and blue eyes. He is wearing a blue short-sleeved shirt, khaki pants, a red jacket with ENTERGY embroidered on the left chest, a red hat and glasses. He is driving a gold 2005 Chevrolet Equinox and was last seen at Alcoa and Northshore in the Sleepy Village subdivision around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Due to dementia, West may be combative if approached.
A BNPD spokesperson said West’s fragile health makes time even more paramount. “In addition to dementia, he is a diabetic and also has leukemia, so we are doing everything possible to ensure his safe return.”
The spokesperson added that West’s family noted he does not usually drive or venture far from home but did mention he had been talking of visiting Oklahoma recently as the family is from there. “This is only a theory at this point in time, but we realize any piece of information can help lead us to Mr. West.”
