The Saline County Master Gardeners will host their spring plant sale. This year, in interest of social distancing due to the pandemic, the sale will be held by appointment only, and with some special rules, on the following days:
- Tuesday, April 21, Noon – 6 p.m.
- Friday, April 24, Noon – 6 p.m.
- Saturday, April 25, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The sale will be held at the Avilla Community Garden at 299 East Avilla. Park in the church parking lot across the street. The sale boasts thousands of plants that Master Gardeners have raised.
There are some rules if you want to come to the sale, but this is the only way they could still host the event. They will take only five buyers at a time. Each person needs a 45-minute appointment. If you are sick or have been exposed to the virus, use good judgement and do not come to the sale. Also they are not allowing children to the sale this year. When you come, keep a six-foot social distance, wear a mask, and bring cash or check for your payment.
If you can adhere to the rules above, call Phil McConnell for an appointment at 501-831-4781.
