Matt McKee, Garland County Justice of the Peace and Republican Party of Garland County Chairman, announced his candidacy for the newly-drawn Arkansas Senate District 6 in Garland and Saline County.
“I am excited to announce my campaign for the Arkansas State Senate,” said McKee. “As a Justice of the Peace for Garland County, every action I have taken while in public service has been based upon the conservative principle that government must always live within its means. I have supported and voted for limited government, protecting our personal freedoms, and lower taxes, and I have strongly backed our law enforcement. State Senate District 6 needs a State Senator who will fight and stand for these conservative values at the Arkansas State Capitol.”
Upon announcing his candidacy, McKee also said, “The people of State Senate District 6 deserve a proven, experienced, and conservative Republican State Senator. I will always protect the sanctity of human life, be a strong supporter of our constitutional right to keep and bear arms, and fight for parent’s right to make educational decisions for their children. I humbly ask for the support and votes of the people of District 6 in the Republican Primary on May 24, 2022. I pledge to remain accessible and accountable only to you, not the special interests in Little Rock.”
