Matt Brumley announced Monday that he has filed for Saline County Judge.
Brumley has been a resident of Saline County for 30 years after moving from his hometown of McKinney, Texas in 1992.
“Saline County is my home and having the opportunity to serve the people of Saline County is extremely exciting and humbling,” Brumley said.
Matt’s wife, Lori is a lifelong resident of Saline County—where they’ve raised their three children; Josh and Jacob; 17-year-old Juniors at Benton High School and their daughter Madi Grace, eight years old and in the second grade at Caldwell Elementary. Matt and his family attend First Baptist Church of Benton.
Brumley’s career has been primarily in public service. Brumley worked as a Paramedic Supervisor and field training officer for Emergency Ambulance Service Inc. in Pine Bluff, Arkansas from 1994-1999. He joined Saline Memorial Hospital in 1999, as Director of EMS and served in that capacity for over 16 years.
In 2012, Matt began serving as the Director of the Saline Health Foundation and continues in that capacity today.
“For the past 25 years my focus has been people,” Brumley said, “learning how to assess the needs in our community and finding the resources to meet those needs. I will continue to work closely with the residents, business leaders and municipal leadership throughout Saline County as we overcome challenges, grow responsibly and continue to make Saline County the premier place to call home.”
Brumley has been involved in multiple community and civic organizations during his career. He served as President of the Benton Area Chamber of Commerce and Benton Bauxite Rotary Club. He currently serves on multiple Healthcare Committees/Councils: former Chairman of Arkansas Acute Stroke Care Task Force, Arkansas EMS Foundation Board and Arkansas PANS/PANDAS Advisory Council. Brumley is also one of the co-founders of Amplify Fest—one of the nation’s largest Christian music festivals held in Benton. He also continues to support and volunteer for John 3:16 Ministries.
“I am a conservative Christian leader with loyalty to Saline County,” he said. “I believe that we must remain fiscally responsible and never lose sight that we are working for the people of Saline County—and not the other way around. If given the opportunity to serve as Saline County Judge, I pledge to stay focused on what is most important to the people of this great county. I look forward to learning more about the people of Saline County and them learning more about my vision and values.”
