The Saline County Library will host their first ever Halloween Masquerade Ball for kids on Friday, October 26th. Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library for an after-hours event. Come dressed in costume for a fun dance. Don’t worry about finding a date, just grab your best ghoul-friend and have a great time.
Organizers say it will be a great night full of fun and music. There won’t be dinner, but they will have some “spooktacular” snacks. The computer will be spinning some tunes so give Ms. Jenn or Mr. Brett song suggestions. Learn the Thriller dance and they might even make a video for Facebook.
Design a mask at the craft table. You can also enter the costume contest where they’ll give away some great awards and crown a king and queen. The night will end with spooky stories about the library. I mean, what’s Halloween without a scary story?
This party is only for teens, so no adults or baby siblings allowed. Library staff will supervise the entire event so no one can sneak off and do any ghost hunting. The party is 6:30-9:30 pm. To keep everyone safe, they are locking the building once everyone is inside and they won’t open until 9:30 pm for pickup. If you want to come to the Masquerade, pick up a contract at the children’s desk and make sure to turn it in by Monday October 22nd.
