I don’t know if there has ever been a cuter experience with a stray animal. A Sardis resident posted to a local Facebook group on Monday morning, December 5, 2016 that this donkey – I guess it’s a donkey – was out loose and socializing.
The post by Alex Rockwood went, “To the folks that live on Childress Rd just to the east of Mt Olive intersection. Your mule, or donkey, or whichever it is, is out on the road.”
The donkey has found his way home at this point, but he looks so much like the “Donkey” character is the movie “Shrek,” the reader comments soon turned to comparisons.
Commenter: At least he is photogenic
Alex: Sure was…very friendly also. Kept nudging my hand with its nose.

Commenter: Those people have a bunch of animals and dogs so they were probably looking for it to take it home lol
