In early July 2019, MySaline broke the news that Silos Cafe would no longer operate in Benton at 510 Highway 5 North. MySaline has fielded many questions from readers about what would occupy the property next. Today I spoke to Chuck Camarato, who had an answer for me. Camarato has been in the restaurant business for years and is in the process of purchasing the old Silos property. He has plans to open a location of the popular restaurant, Lost Pizza Co.
Camarato describes the chain as Delta-themed, inviting, laid-back and family-friendly. The menu includes pizza, wings, tamales, sandwiches, salads and more. There will be something for every age, with a party and meeting room, video games for the kids and they will serve beer as well.
He says we can look forward to a nice renovated restaurant, and his goal is to open sometime in the Fall. The hours planned are daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. You can view similar menus and more photos on the company website at https://lostpizza.com. The price range is right in line with other local restaurants. The chain currently has 15 locations, with one in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and the rest are in Mississippi, Tennessee and Florida.
Camarato said he and his wife Ashley chose the area because they were looking for a good place to raise a family. They have a son, John Charles, who is 8 years old, their daughter, Rose is 4 years old and they have one child on the way.
I’ll update this story when there is news about the opening.
