A man went missing and was found dead at Lake Norrell, according to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO). Captain J. Shamlin stated that on May 29, 2023, at approximately 8 p.m., first responders were called to the Lake Norrell boat ramp in reference to a missing person.
Upon arrival, it was determined that a male, later identified as, 42 year old Agustin Arias, was swimming at the lake when he went missing. After approximately 30 minutes his friends, called 911.
First responders made a brief search and Lake Norrell Fire Department located him unresponsive, still in the lake. Life saving measures were unsuccessful. The Saline Courty Coroner, along with the SCSO are investigating the cause of death.
