Clean out your stash of art supplies and bring them to the swap event at the library. Come on Saturday, February 4th to the Benton branch of the Saline County Library. The public is invited to bring unused and unwanted supplies to donate and swap for new-to-you supplies.
That means items such as unused canvases (but no larger than 16 x 20), markers, pens, acrylic paints, blank journals, bullet journals, sketch books, washi tape, stickers, watercolor paints, specialty papers, planners, cards and envelopes, notepads, colored pencils, pastels, glitter, sticky notes, stencils, yarn, fabric, felt, knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery hoops, palette knives, etc. (Deep breath)
This is not an exhaustive list, but you get the idea. All donations must be clean, unused, or gently used, and in secure containers or resealable bags.
Those who donate supplies will get in early the day of the event – at 10:00 a.m. Register to donate materials by visiting https://saline.libnet.info/event/7734229. Those not donating may enter at 11:00 a.m. to shop through anything left. You must register even if you are not donating. One more thing…
The library is encouraging everyone to bring donations of single-serving foods in easy-to-open packaging and travel-sized toiletries for their Community Pantry. All items donated will go to the Saline County Library Community Pantries.
