Local students are invited to the first ever Library Prom at the Saline County Library. Come to the Benton branch at 1800 Smithers on Saturday, May 11th and the party will start at 6:00 p.m. Parents, arrive early to take pictures outside the building with your teens, but this event is only for them – no parents, younger siblings or college students allowed.
This event was started for homeschool students, but all teens aged 13-18 are welcome, even if you aren’t homeschooled. There will be a DJ and dancing and the librarians have been specially trained in all the best group dances.
There will be more photo opportunities – a professional photographer will be taking pictures as students walk in. You can get your photo texted or emailed. There will also be a photobooth with silly props.
The community of Saline County has come together in amazing ways to make Library Prom a reality. People have donated dresses, suits and jewelry so that teens can have the very best night.
Library Prom requires a contract. These can be picked up at either library branch and must be returned by May 3rd.
Remember: this event is only eligible for teenagers ages 13 to 18. College students, parents and little siblings are not welcome at this event.
