Looking for a little time to get away from it all and just craft? Join us for a new craft every week in the Benton Makerspace! Each Tuesday we will start and finish a different craft, from jewelry to custom cards! All materials will be provided. Patrons will get to take home what they make! Registration required. Please be aware that you must register for sessions individually, registering for one class does not register you for all four classes.

The Pencil Pack – Tween Journalism Club

Interested in journalism, writing, drawing, or photography? Come join the Pencil Pack! Add your spark to our monthly library newspaper in this journalism club for beginners. We’ll learn the basics of writing a good article, then we’ll create content to be published in our own monthly library newspaper, just for kids!

Preschoolers will get hands-on experience using different mediums as they learn to express themselves through art! We’ll complete a new project every week, and you’ll go home with a masterpiece! We may get messy, so please dress appropriately!
Baby Prom

Dress your baby in their fanciest clothes and dance the day away at Baby Prom! Take as many photos as you want!
Tai Chi for Beginners

Jo Tabor, a Certified Personal Trainer and fitness coach, will teach participants the basics of Tai Chi. This is a program geared towards beginning practitioners, but all skill levels are welcome! Please dress comfortably for movement.
Saturday, May 11
Plant Swap

All Ages
Come swap plants with other plant enthusiasts for free! You may bring cuttings, plant babies, or mature plants. Tables will be provided on a first come, first served basis. This event is held in the upper parking lot at the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library in Bryant. Please dress for the weather! Registration recommended, so we can secure enough tables!
Blood Drive

Blood donation helps people in need in your community. Donors, especially those who donate regularly, keep our nation’s blood supply stable. That’s why the Benton branch is hosting Our Blood Institute for a blood drive! Come out, support your community, and give a life-saving pint of blood! Donors will receive a free t-shirt as a thank you!
Saturday Storytime

Visit the Benton branch for a short storytime with a different Youth Services librarian every week! We’ll sing songs and read stories starting at 10:30 AM in the Storytime Room. We can’t wait to see you there!
Spring Paint Along

Join our Adult Programmer, Susie, and our Teen Programmer, Chelsea, for a relaxing painting session! We will each create a pretty spring posey painting to take home! Adults and teens (ages 13 and up) are welcome to join. Bring a family member, or come alone and make a new friend! All supplies will be provided. Registration required.
Rising Star Players Present Peter Pan and Wendy
