Rising Star Players (After-School Session)

Beginner American Sign Language

In this weekly class we’ll cover the basics of American Sign Language and answer any questions you may have! Each week we will expand upon what we learned the previous week. This class is open to anyone ages 9 and up. No registration required!

We’ll watch a different anime each month and then complete a craft related to what we watch! Examples of animes we’ve watched: Spy x Family, Sailor Moon, and Dragon Ball Z!

Pyrography Art (CLASS IS FULL)

Participants will transfer patterns/images onto wood and use wood burning tools in the Makerspace to create a piece of pyrography art! All materials provided, while supplies last. Please be aware that we will be working with very hot tools, so please dress consciously! Registration required.

Tai Chi for Beginners

Ages 18+
Jo Tabor, a Certified Personal Trainer and fitness coach, will teach participants the basics of Tai Chi. This is a program geared towards beginning practitioners, but all skill levels are welcome! Please dress comfortably for movement.

Saturday Storytime

Visit the Benton branch for a short storytime with a different Youth Services librarian every week. We’ll sing songs and read stories starting at 10:30 AM in the Storytime Room. We can’t wait to see you there!
