Ragan Kyzer, Chief Deputy of the Circuit Clerk’s Office, is seeking the Republican nomination to be the next Saline County Treasurer. The current Treasurer, Larry Davis, is not running for re-election.
Kyzer began her career with the Circuit Clerk’s office in 1995. She was promoted to Chief Deputy in 2002, a position she has continuously held before adding the title of Administrative Assistant under the current Clerk Myka Bono Sample. Ms. Kyzer is a Certified Court Manager, a graduate of the Saline County Leadership Program and a board member of Saline County Republican Women.
As Saline County Treasurer, Kyzer will continue the progress made by Larry Davis. “Working cohesively with the Saline County Comptroller and financial department, I believe we can automate the Treasurer’s office even further,” said Kyzer. “I know there are opportunities available to further strengthen the efficiency and precision of the office. Through my years in the Circuit Clerk’s Office, I have seen first hand the advantages of modernization and preservation of records made available with new technology.”
As Chief Deputy/Administrative Assistant, Ms. Kyzer has an active role in managing all divisions of the office. Managing six individual budgets under the Circuit Clerk umbrella, she also provides input to the Quorum Court and Comptroller about annual budget requests. Working alongside the elected Clerk, Ms. Kyzer uses her experience and financial oversight of the office to ensure the office meets standards and maintains adequate division of duties following the laws and input provided by State Legislative Auditors.
“Having spent my entire career in Saline County Government, I think being a public servant is a very rewarding profession. I enjoy helping the public everyday, as well as working with my fellow employees and county officials,” said Kyzer. “I humbly ask the citizens of Saline County to vote for me so I can continue to use my experience and knowledge to lead the Treasurer’s Office.”
Ragan Kyzer is a Bryant High School graduate and currently lives in Benton. She has two adult children and two English Bulldogs.
