Three Vacation Reads
It’s summer! I love summer reading. Why does it feel different than reading in all the other seasons? I don’t know. But here are some I’m planning to read this summer. (And let’s be real, if I don’t get to them this summer they’ll be there waiting for me with a warm blanket when fall comes.)
The String by Caleb Breakey
My friend let me borrow this after she read it. It’s a suspense/mystery which is my favorite! And she told me she’s never read a book so fast. So, I’m thinking it’s definitely going to be a page turner. It’s set on a college campus, and since I haven’t read it, here’s a quote from the description on Amazon, “Get ready for a deadly social experiment as a sociopath known as The Conductor delivers disturbing threats and twisted moral dilemmas to unsuspecting students and staff.”
So That Happened by Katie Bailey
She writes some of my favorite romcoms. This one just came out on Kindle Unlimited, and my sister already read it and told me it was adorable. So, I know I’m going to love it. The main characters have an awkward meeting in an airport hotel and think they’ll go their separate ways, never to see or hear from each other again…only to see each other again on Monday because SURPRISE she just started a new job and he works there, too!
Theft of Swords by Michael J Sullivan
Full disclosure, I started this book in college. Loved it. Never finished it. A few years ago I downloaded the audiobook and restarted from the beginning. Loved it again. Still never finished it. So. I’m going to really try this summer to finish the book. I know I like it, it’s just so long. Will I have the time? Will I have the attention span? We’ll find out. It’s an epic fantasy with swords and thieves and conspiracies and mystery.
