It’s October! The weather’s getting cooler, the leaves are starting to change, it’s socially acceptable to eat soup all the time now! And it’s also a great time to read a thriller. Here are four of my all time favorites (in no specific order).
Find Me by Anne Frasier
I’ve reviewed this one here before. I absolutely love all of her work. And if I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times, it reads like an episode of Criminal Minds. So tense and creepy. A perfect read for this time of year! (And there’s a sequel “Tell Me” that you should also read!)
He Started It by Samantha Downing
One of the twisty-est books I’ve ever read. Truly impossible to predict what will happen and that ending!!! Mind blowing. I love that every character is an unreliable narrator. For that reason, it’s not necessarily spooky, but it is definitely a great mystery. Also a great audiobook if that’s your thing.
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
This one is practically a classic at this point. But it is still one of my favorite thrillers of all time. I remember reading it on vacation and getting to THAT PART and I gasped out loud. The best plot twist. I guess if you’ve seen the movie already, it may not have the same effect, but it’s still a work of art.
Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
This list would be incomplete without at least one book by the QUEEN OF MYSTERY WRITING. Murder on the Orient Express is such a nostalgic book for me. I’ve read it so many times and there’s something about reading it in the fall that just hits the spot. I recommend any Agatha Christie mysteries for this season to be honest.
