Kroger stores nationwide are the next company to require customers to wear a face covering, following an announcement by Walmart and Sam’s Club. In a statement via Twitter late Wednesday, the company noted that the new policy will become effective July 22nd, and that employees have already been required to wear masks for some time.
With the increase in #COVID19 cases across the country, we are committed to doing our part to help reduce the spread of the virus. Starting July 22, we will require all customers in all locations to wear a mask, joining our associates who continue to wear masks. pic.twitter.com/r9WPD3QNFa
