If you haven’t heard, the city of Alexander gets to be the first in central Arkansas to open an African restaurant. The grand opening is Sunday, January 21st, according to the Kontiki African Restaurant Facebook event. The event will be from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Owner Christian Domingo, who immigrated from Sierra Leone nearly twenty years ago, had originally planned to be open until 4:00 p.m. but the response was so much that he decided to stay open a couple more hours. This family-run restaurant is located just across the Saline County border, at 13420 HWY 111 (3rd Street) in Alexander.
The following is the restaurant’s menu. To read more about what to expect, see Steve Shuler’s article in Rock City Eats: http://www.rockcityeats.com/rumbles-african-restaurant-opening-soon-poke-hula-now-open-la-terraza-mojito-mania/
