Junior Auxiliary of Saline County announces several scholarships available locally. See the list below and application information below:
TRADITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for graduating high school senior students planning to continue traditional postsecondary education and, majoring in areas related to servicing the needs of youth in the community (e.g./Psychology, Sociology, Education, Pediatrics, Coaching, etc.)
The total amount of this scholarship is $3,000 distributed in two installments, $1,500 in the Fall Semester and an additional $1,500 in the Spring Semester. Scholarship funds will be distributed once per semester upon receipt of proof of registration from the recipient.
An official copy of the student’s grade report must accompany the second semester request providing proof that a 2.5 grade point average for the initial semester has been achieved.

NON-TRADITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Chapter will award two disbursements of $1,500 to a graduating high school senior who is not seeking a traditional college education; for example beauty school, mechanic school, welding, etc.
The initial disbursement of funds will be completed upon receipt of proof of registration from the recipient from their chosen vo-tech school.
An official copy of the student’s grade report must accompany the second semester request providing proof that a 2.5 grade point average for the initial semester has been achieved.

MARSHA DAVIS (HENDERSON STATE UNIVERSITY)
This scholarship is for graduating high school senior students planning to attend Henderson State University.
The total amount of this scholarship is $4,000 distributed in two installments, $2,000 in the Fall Semester and an additional $2,000 in the Spring Semester. Scholarship funds will be distributed once per semester upon receipt of proof of registration from the recipient.
An official copy of the student’s grade report must accompany the second semester request providing proof that a 2.5 grade point average for the initial semester has been achieved.
This scholarship is in honor of Ms. Davis’ parents.

WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will assist exceptional and in-need students to continue their education. This scholarship is applicable for female students, ages 25 and above, who are seeking to further their education in areas related to serving children and youth in the community – for example Psychology, Sociology, Education, Pediatrics, etc.
The total amount of this scholarship is $4,000, with $2,000 per year (distributed in two installments: $1,000 in the Fall Semester and $1,000 in the Spring Semester). Scholarship funds will be distributed once per semester upon receipt of proof of registration from the recipient.
Applicants are required to show proof of course enrollment, but do not have to provide documentation of grade point average or test scores. These funds will be distributed directly to the school upon receipt of enrollment.

All applications must be submitted by March 31, 2022 by 11:59 p.m. They will only accept applications from the Google Form link unless other circumstances have been discussed with the Scholarship Committee before the deadline date.
