Kyle Vaughan, age 33, of Benton was sentenced Thursday morning, January 12, 2017, after having entered a guilty plea to charges relating to sex with and sexual pictures of a minor. Saline County Circuit Judge Grisham Phillips sentenced Vaughan to a total of ten years in prison, with five of those years suspended. Conditions of the sentencing are outlined in this court document.
Vaughan was arrested on August 17, 2015, after law enforcement served a Search and Seizure Warrant on his mobile phone, on suspicion that there were photos of an explicit sexual nature involving a minor. Vaughan was charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Assault, a Class B Felony. Vaughan was an officer with the Haskell Police Department at the time of the crime.
