Benton man Jerad Brothers pled guilty Monday, December 19, 2016, to criminal charges he incurred while employed at two different local insurance agencies. Clients would come in to pay for setting up insurance, but according to records, from November 2013 to June 2014, Brothers would keep the money and never set up the policies.
The charges were 9 counts of committing a Fraudulent Insurance Act. Brother is sentenced 14 days in jail, on probation for 4 years, 50 hours of community service, and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $10,105.42 plus administrative costs for a total of $13,615.00.
