You’ve been waiting around (and asking around) for months, and now there’s finally a new restaurant open where Ed & Kays used to be in Benton. MySaline learned in December that Chef Bruno Baqiri – of Bruno’s Italian Bistro in Little Rock – leased the building at Exit 116 from Kay Diemer to start a new restaurant here. Kay was famous for making the mile-high pies at Ed & Kay’s for about 30 years, but retired last Spring because of a family matter. Perhaps Bruno now hopes to make the destination famous for yummy pasta and pizza dishes.
My friend Toby Hirscheider and her family went for a visit to the newly opened eatery. I believe she said their first day open to the public was Friday. The following are Toby’s pictures. I hope to get my own soon!
