RE: BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFT #3681
SALEM WATER ASSOCIATION – PWS ID # 492
The Department of Health has released the ‘Boil Water’ Notice confirmed on 6/7/2018 2:25:17 PM by Jerry Mitchell for the Hurricane Lake Moble Home Park. This order was issued as a precautionary measure because of the possibility that contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of complete loss in normal system pressure.
Bacteriological samples taken on Friday, June 8, 2018 were found to be free of bacterial contamination and a satisfactory disinfectant level has been established throughout the distribution system. The water is therefore considered ‘Safe’ for human consumption and the ‘Boil Water’ notice is hereby lifted.
Sincerely,
Conway Meacham

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the Salem Water Association has issued a boil order for Hurricane Lake Mobile Home Park until further notice. This is due to a water main break.
Under the ‘Boil Water’ Notice, all affected customers are adviced that the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one (1) minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
This Notice will be lifted by the Department of Health when set(s) of bacteriological samples indicate that the water is free of bacterial contamination and adequate disinfectant level is established throughout the distribution system.
