VILLAGE RESIDENTS HELPING RESIDENTS!
In an effort to relieve some of the frustration with the new computer platform as it relates to golf AND save a bit of valuable staff time so they can work on necessary changes, a group of Villagers have organized a training/discussion session for Saturday, March 16, 2024 (assuming power is available). Click Here for the details…..
ASK KEN AND MATT
Resident: We got our water bill yesterday, and I noted a 5-7% increase from the January billing. Did the villagers get a heads-up on the increase?
Ken: Thanks for reaching out. Every year the staff develops a budget for the following year, and then it is reviewed, discussed, adjusted, and then approved by the GM, Finance & Planning Committee, and Board of Directors . The budget recommendation shows the rates for everything for the previous and current year. The budget recommendation is included in the Board package for review by every property owner prior to the Board approving it. These budgets can be found on our new website under Governance/Reports/Budget Reports. As it relates to our water and sewer rates specifically, we can expect continued yearly increases similar to this year not only as required to keep up with rising operating costs but to prepare ourselves to financially support the water and sewer improvements required to ensure our infrastructure is properly functioning and can support our future needs. Outside of these improvements being necessary to ensure our community remains viable, they are also required as part of ACT 605 which was passed by the Arkansas State Legislature several years ago which dictates that communities must identify and then implement necessary repairs/improvements to their water and sewer systems to ensure it remains compliant with applicable laws.

AAAWWWW – WHAT A SWEET FACE, WHAT A GREAT DOG!
Hi, I’m Caramel, and I’m a 9-month-old, 48 lb., possibly Brittany Spaniel/Hound mix. I like going on walks and have mastered perfect leash skills. I enjoy playing with my friends at the shelter and spending time with the volunteers. Everyone that meets me tells me how sweet I am, and I have overheard them tell others that also. I would love a fenced yard to play in and if you have another dog for me to play with, that would be nice too. I haven’t been tested with kids, but I would probably like them, and I bet they would like me also because I have such a calm nature. If you’d like to visit me, contact the AWL at hsvawl.org. and fill out an application!
