Hot Springs Village announces changes in their amenities and services:
The health, safety and welfare of our property owners, residents, commercial owners, visitors and employees is a top priority for Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association. Like many of you, we have been monitoring the ongoing news related to the coronavirus (COVID-19). Golf Update
Hot Springs Village is open for member golfers and their guests. We are committed to being a leader in the golf industry by maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and customers.
The golf pro shops will be sanitizing doors handles, counters, credit card machines and stylus as well as washing and sanitizing their hands regularly throughout the day.
- As of March 17th Golf Now has been temporarily discontinued. This will reduce the likelihood that non-members make tee times.
- We are allowing golfers to rent a cart by themselves with no additional rider.
- We are disinfecting the steering wheels, dashboards, switches and high touch surfaces on our golf carts
- We recommend golfers not to remove or touch the flagsticks. We will be sanitizing flagsticks daily, before the first golfers.
- Golf maintenance will be regularly disinfecting the half-way house restrooms.
- Please keep your gloves on when taking your ball out of the hole.
- Minimize contact between employees and members.
- Recommend golfers bring their own wipes and sanitizers for added safety.
- We will be limiting the gathering of golfers to no more than 10 in the golf shops at any given time.
- Annual pass holders are recommended to phone the golf shop to check in.
- We recommend members add money to their virtual POA card so mobile check in at golf shops can occur.
The March Adult Beginner classes have been postponed until further notice.
Public Services
Public Service Staff will be limiting their interactions with the property owner and practicing safe separation distances per the following:
- For Home Sewer Tank Calls, We encourage homeowners stay in their home and communicate by phone with our staff. Staff will maintain at least 6-feet physical separation.
- Meter Techs will not physically handoff any disconnect or reconnect cards to the owner, but the services will be completed with staff making the proper checks and inspections.
- Sanitation domestic trash pick-up services will continue on the regular schedules at all levels of mitigation.

POA Facilities Operations
As of March 17th, the Woodlands, Fitness Center, Library and Coronado Center are closed to the public.
As of March 17 the Permitting & Inspection and Compliance Services will go to a completely digital service system. All work will be done via telephone, online, email and or by appointment only. Online permits can be accessed via our member portal at https://explorethevillage.com/ members/services/ and then clicking the “Permitting, Inspection & Compliance” button.
No permits for estate sales or garage sales will be issued until further notice
Member services at the POA Administration building will be limiting public access beginning March 17. Property Owners can access services in these ways:
- Payments for Utilities and POA Assessments can be made via the following avenues:
- Check payments can be mailed or dropped in the drop box outside the POA Administration building.
- Payments for Assessments and Utilities can be made online with a credit card using the secure member portal found at www.explorethevillage.com/
members. First time login instructions are available here. - Our member services team will be available by phone to assist members with logging in or any other questions. Call us at 501-922-5556 or email us at [email protected]
- Members can also purchase vehicle decals, annual passes and family card renewals online using the “Shop the Village” link in the Member Portal. There are also online forms available for all of these purchases. These forms (found here) can be mailed to or dropped off at the POA Administration building with a check payment. Decals for purchases made online or by mail will be mailed to property owners within 2 business days.
- New property owners can access a new member information packet online here. Member Services staff will work with each new property owner by appointment. Our team will work with local realtors and title companies to provide these packets to new property owners in advance of their visit.
- Businesses needing work pass renewals will be asked to complete the necessary paperwork found here. Forms and payment by check can be mailed or dropped at the POA Admin building drop box. Businesses needing to pay by credit card or requiring new ID cards will be contacted by a member of our team to make alternative arrangements once their forms have been received in our office.

As of March 17, Coronado Center Library will proceed under the following status:
- Library catalog can be reviewed online: https://hsvpoa.follettdestiny.
com/common/welcome.jsp? context=saas37_0301478 and materials reserved by phone, 501-922-3555. - Library employees will contact patron for book/material pickup.
- Employee will provide pickup time and space out pickup to mitigate number of people arriving at the same time.
- Employee will instruct patron to call upon arrival and employee will meet them at the door.
- Library hours will be reduced to Monday – Friday with no Saturday pickups.
- Staff will empty the book box Monday – Friday and deliver books to the Library.
- All books, audio cases and puzzle boxes received will be wiped down with a disinfectant.
Members with rental properties are encouraged to consider taking their units off the market for the next two weeks, at a minimum and implement disinfection protocols. During this period, Hot Springs Village POA will suspend the Gold Star Rental page on our website and only schedule Discovery Packages for dates beyond April.
Dining
In addition to our current cleaning practices, we are taking additional steps to protect our restaurants:
- We will continue our rigorous cleaning protocols and will be using disposable disinfectant cleaning wipes.
- All silverware will be wrapped.
- Condiments such as salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise will be replaced with individual packages.
- We are discontinuing our self-service buffets (including weekend brunches and Wednesday chicken buffets) and offering a la carte menu plated options.
- Reservations will be limited to 10 persons or less
- We will make sure that all table-seatings are staggered to allow for maximum social distancing.
We encourage members and guests to take advantage of ordering to go or the purchasing of gift cards for future use to support the restaurants in our community.
Gate Access
All visitors must be registered at the gate as a guest to gain access so please be sure to list your guests using the online registration process here. You can call the East Gate at 922-5015 and the West Gate at 922-1640.
HSV Animal Welfare League
The Adoption Center at the shelter is temporarily closed. Adoptions will continue by appointment only. Their contact information is on our website www.hsvawl.org. The available pets are on the PetFinder and Adopt-a-Pet links on the AWL website also. Volunteers will continue to care for the pets.

- The March Adult Beginner golf classes have been postponed until further notice.
- HSV Police Citizens Academy Class scheduled for March 26, 2020 has been cancelled
- Singles Group Hand and Foot at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, held first and third Wednesdays of each month, is cancelled until further notice.
- Afternoon Spades and Table Games held Wednesdays at Sacred Heart Catholic Church is cancelled until further notice.
- The World Tour of Wines: Chili scheduled for March 19 has been rescheduled to May 14. Ticket holders will use their existing March tickets for the May 14 event.
- HSV Republican Women’s club meeting scheduled for March 19 has been canceled.
- Arkansas Blood Institute Blood Drive scheduled for March 20 has been canceled.
- Lions Bingo scheduled for March 20 has been cancelled.
- The Hot Springs Village Anglers/Basecamp Fishing Seminar scheduled for Saturday, March 21, has been canceled. Staff will work with the Anglers to reschedule the event.
- The Crystal Chimes Chorus’ Fashion Show and Luncheon, originally scheduled for Monday, March 23, has been postponed. It will, hopefully, be rescheduled for late June. Ticket holders will be contacted with re-use or re-payment options for their tickets.
- War of the Worlds presented by the Village Players is postponed.
- Village Arts Council monthly meeting March 19 canceled.
- The Coronado Community Fair set for March 25 has been postponed, it has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 20, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Hot Springs Sentinel Record Media Instructions event scheduled for March 31 has been canceled.
- Village Card Club Spring Fling tournament scheduled for April 3-5 has been canceled.
- The Coronado Community Center Deliberative Engagement for renters has been postponed until April 27 at 6:30 p.m. The CCC Deliberative Engagement for all POA members will be rescheduled for May 18. Staff is notifying our renters who RSVP’d for the event.
- Mountainside UMC has cancelled all gatherings, meetings, events, and worship services through the month of March.
- Sacred Heart Catholic Church has cancelled all services until Easter.
