Bryant’s Hill Farm Elementary School archery team came in First Place in their age group in the “Arkansas Archery in the Schools” State Tournament in Hot Springs on March 3, 2017. The tournament is put on by the Arkansas National Archery in the Schools Program (ANASP). The win means they will be going to Kentucky for the national championship May 11-13. This team only started last year with Coach Nancy Wood, Mike Armstrong and Neal Styles.
The participants in this tournament are students in the 4th and 5th grades. There were 12 Regions in Arkansas participating; 68 School Teams and a total of 1,093 students. There are 24 kids on the team who all want to go to the national tournament.

The following are teams from Saline County that participated at the State competition:
- Hill Farm Elementary won 1st Place in the Elementary Division,
- Bryant Middle School won 5th Place in the Middle School Division (first year team)
- Salem Elementary (first year team) won the Spirit Award and finished 12th
- Bethel Middle School and Bryant High School (first year team) both finished very well at the state tournament.
