There’s a new high-end thrift store coming to Benton that will help people in the community.
Renee Oliver, who runs the network of stores says it’s called Happy Gray and they sell gently-used boutique clothing, shoes and handbags, as well as home furnishings. Items are either built by the men of the Nehemiah House or donated to the Union Rescue Mission, Dorcas House or Nehemiah House.
“Happy Gray Saline, like our other stores, will enable the residents a place to purchase high-end items at extremely low prices and to know that their purchase is helping women and children of the Dorcas House to escape the danger of Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking and Drug Addiction,” stated Oliver.
The address for this newest location is in Benton at 17310 Interstate 30 North in the shopping with Domino’s in front of Tinseltown movie theater. The opening date goal is the first or second week of October. They will begin with three or four employees.
“This will also give Saline County a local site to donate to the Union Rescue Mission to keep enabling them to help to rescue, treat, empower and even employ the men and women who are the most desperate for help,” stated Oliver.
Happy Gray has two other stores, including locations at 4200 East Kiehl Avenue in Sherwood and 14710 Cantrell Road in West Little Rock. They are open Monday through Saturday. Read more about Happy Gray stores at https://urmissionlr.org/happy-gray-fashions.
