Officers and staff of the Benton Police Department will show gratitude to military veterans with the launch of the “Thank A Veteran” initiative during the month of November. The BNPD also encourages citizens to give thanks to the men and women who served the country to ensure American freedoms.
In addition to showing gratitude to the veterans in the community, this initiative is a way for officers to get out of their patrol cars and meet various individuals throughout the community. BNPD officers and staff who are military veterans will also be honored during this initiative.
Citizens can assist the “Thank A Veteran” initiative by informing the BNPD of a veteran to be featured on our social media sites (including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) or to simply have an officer stop by and visit. Please send contact information to [email protected] or call Matt Burks, BNPD media specialist, at (501) 776-5900 extension 131. Citizens can also contact us about this initiative through our free official BNPD app found on the Apple and Google stores.
