Cash Heath, of Benton, AR was proudly installed as the State Chaplain for the International Order of DeMolay in Arkansas on August 8th at The Albert Pike Memorial Temple in Little Rock, Arkansas. Heath is a member of Westwood Chapter Order of DeMolay in Little Rock and a proud Benton Panther. Heath is a life-long resident of Saline County and he will be serving alongside a new slate of state officers, who were installed at the annual Arkansas DeMolay Conclave held earlier this month.
The State Chaplain provides spiritual guidance for the organization and leads events in prayer and serve as the Chaplain to those young men who might need council. Officers are usually elected by their peers, but this year due to Covid-19, all Officers were appointed. This is Heath’s first State Office and he hopes to eventually become President of the organization in the coming years. He will serve as Chaplain for the next year.
DeMolay is a premier youth leadership organization which focuses on building young men of character and is dedicated to helping young men become future leaders in our communities. The Order of DeMolay is celebrating its 100th year as an organization in the State of Arkansas and has a long legacy in our community. DeMolay teaches young men fundamental life and professional skills, business acumen and community service. DeMolays take part in a wide range of activities, from athletic competitions, to public speaking tournaments, to community service events. Benton has recently revived a DeMolay Chapter here in Saline County and they meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month at the Benton Masonic Lodge, 111 N. Market Street.
