The Haskell Police Department is offering citizens a special service to keep your holiday package deliveries safe this year. When you order things online, you can have them delivered to the PD offices, according to Police Chief Michael Watson.
“We will gladly hold them for you, instead of them sitting on your porch until you get home,” stated Chief Watson.
The service will run from Monday, November 30th until Tuesday, December 22nd and there will be someone at the PD from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday for package pickup.
The PD will only accept packages from authorized delivery services, such as USPS, UPS, Amazon, FedEx and DHL because they have a tracking number that will be entered into the PD’s log.
Individuals will need to show photo ID matching the name on the package.
”If this is a success, we will strive to do it every Christmas,” stated Chief Watson.
The delivery address is 2508 Highway 229, Haskell, AR 72015. Call the 501-778-4916 with any questions.
