The City of Haskell Police Department announces their Employee of the Month for September is Patrol Lieutenant Jimmy Foreman. He is a 26 year veteran and also a K-9 officer.
On Friday, September 23, 2022 Lieutenant Foreman received a call from dispatch that there was a shooting at the McDonald’s by the Big Red on Hwy 67. Dispatch advised the suspect vehicle was a blue Honda Civic and was headed toward the city of Haskell.
Lieutenant Foreman responded immediately and observed the vehicle traveling south on Hwy 229. The officer made a felony stop on the vehicle in front of Larry’s Pizza. Lieutenant Foreman advised dispatch he had the vehicle and driver. A Ruger loaded 380 semi automatic hand gun was found on the driver.
Benton PD responded and investigated the shooting. Due to Lieutenant Foreman’s quick response and ability to take action he was able to apprehend one of the suspects involved in the shooting.
