Independence day is coming and here is the ordinance in Haskell for using fireworks in the city limits, according to Alderman Dallas Wright.
7.32.02 Regulations on fireworks
- Fireworks can be discharged from June 25th – July 5th between Noon and 10:00 p.m.
- No fireworks may be discharged within the boundaries of or within 300 feet of any public park owned or maintained by the city of Haskell without a public display permit.
- No fireworks may be discharged upon any public street, alley, road, or right-of-way.
7.32.06 Violation;Penalty
- Any individual, firm, partnership, corporation, or association violating the provisions of this shall be punished by a fine of no less than $100 and no more the $500 for first offense, a fine of no less the $200 and no more then $500 for a second offense, and a fine of no less then $300 and no more then $500 for a third and subsequent offense.
