RE: BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFT #3728
HASKELL WATER SYSTEM – PWS ID # 488
The Department of Health has released the ‘Boil Water’ Notice confirmed on 7/31/2018 1:50:02 PM by Wade Simmons for the 10 customers around 128 Cardinal Drive. This order was issued as a precautionary measure because of the possibility that contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of complete loss in normal system pressure.
Bacteriological samples taken on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 were found to be free of bacterial contamination and a satisfactory disinfectant level has been established throughout the distribution system. The water is therefore considered ‘Safe’ for human consumption and the ‘Boil Water’ notice is hereby lifted.
Sincerely,

The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) announces a boil order has been issued for residents of Haskell, for 10 customers around 128 Cardinal Drive. This order was issued as a precautionary measure because of the possibility that contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of a complete loss in normal system pressure. This was due to a water line break. Under this notice, all affected customers are advised that the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one (1) minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice. This notice will be lifted by the ADH when one (1) set of bacteriological samples indicate that the water is free of bacterial contamination and an adequate disinfectant level is established throughout the distribution system.
